One of China’s most important modern composers, Guo Wenjing, feels a strong connection with the cultural tradition of his land. He believes that you have to know the past in order to create a future. In a new composition that he creates for this film he tries to bring together the differences that exist between traditional and modern China, and between East and West. The TV version was broadcasted on NPO 2 while the film on International Film Festival Rotterdam 2019.
